Install the widget, style it, and turn on page greetings and live handoff.

Install it

1. Open the embed tabGo to Websiteembed.
2. Pick your platformThere are steps for plain HTML, WordPress, Shopify, Webflow, Wix, Squarespace, Framer and Carrd. Click show code to copy your line, or send to my developer to email it.
3. Paste it before </body>Most builders have a "footer code" box for this. Publish, and the chat bubble appears in the bottom-right corner.

Make it look like you

Colours, logo, avatar, the bot name, the bubble text, the welcome message and the input placeholder all live in Branding. Saved changes reach your website within about a minute, with no code to change.

Removing the "Powered by" badge is included from the Growth plan.

Fun mode

Wittier replies, with the facts unchanged. When it doesn't know an answer, it offers a clearly labelled best guess instead of the plain "I don't have that" reply. Visitors can still reach a person.

Proactive engagement

The widget opens on its own with a question that fits the page. You choose:

• when it opens: after a delay (3 to 300 seconds) or once the visitor scrolls part of the page;
• how often: once per visit, or once per page;
• a default message, and page rules that ask something different when the page address contains, say, /pricing. The first rule that matches wins.

Live human handoff

When a visitor taps Talk to a human, their chat appears in Websiteconversations. Reply there and it shows up in their open chat within seconds. You can get an AI summary and a suggested reply first, and set the "typical reply time" visitors see. With handoff off, requests reach you by email instead.

About your key

Your widget key sits in your website's code, so it's public by design. If it's being misused, open API Key and regenerate it, then paste the new code on every site that uses the old one.

If the bubble doesn't show

• Check the line is on the published site, not only in the editor. Wix, Webflow and Framer don't run custom code in preview.
• Make sure it's placed before </body> and only once per page.
• Open your browser's console. A "blocked" message usually means a security setting (CSP) on your site needs to allow aidevelopia.com.
